Walks
Some of the truest conversations I've been part of didn't happen across a table. They happened while walking — two people moving through a landscape together, letting the ground set the pace and the weather have its say.
A walk is unhurried and unscripted. I'm walking here, on this day; if you're drawn to it, come. We talk when there's something to say and fall quiet when there isn't. The living world is the third companion, and often the wisest.
There are a few shapes this takes:
- Walks in person — announced from time to time, open to whoever feels the pull.
- Walks folded into ongoing work — for people I'm already sitting with, when moving helps more than staying still.
- Walks at a distance — two people in their own landscapes, joined by phone, pausing to listen, sometimes turning on video during the pauses to share what we're seeing.
Nothing here runs on a scheduling engine. When there is a walk to announce, I'll say so plainly — where, when, and what it costs.
If a walk is what you’re drawn to, tell me a little about where you are.
